Shores lecato rubs elbows with former NFL stars

May 27, 2009 ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.

--John Arthur LeCato of LeCato Interiors in Belle Haven was invited to play in the Ron Jaworski Celebrity Poker Tournament held in Atlantic City on May 16 at Harrah's Casino. The announcer for the charity event was former Philadelphia quarterback Ron Jaworski, now an NFL analyst for ESPN. LeCato met several NFL greats, including Super Bowl champion coach Mike Ditka of the Chicago Bears, quarterback Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills, linebacker Bill Bergy of the Eagles, quarterback Joe Pisarcik of the New York Giants and Garo Yepremian of the 1972 Super Bowl champion Miami Dolphins. Yepremian played poker next to LeCato and reminded everyone in earshot of the Dolphins' undefeated 17-0 season. Six-and-a-half hours later, LeCato was sitting at the Final Table of the tournament with television and cameras surrounding the former NFL players. LeCato said he was very happy to play in this charity event and fortunate to finish in seventh place.

Former Washington Redskin quarterback Joe Theisman, left, hangs out with Belle Haven's John Arthur LeCato at the Ron Jaworski Celebrity Poker Tournament, held at Harrah's in Atlantic City.
