Motorcycle rally to benefit Rett Syndrome

BROOKFIELD, MO.

-- A motorcycle rally to benefit the International Rett Syndrome Foundation is coming up on May 9th. &194 &194 &194 The registration fee is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger.&194 That will include a raffle ticket, a dinner voucher, and a patch for your leather jacket to commemorate the event. &226&8364&339If y'all would like to have a good night out and, right prior to Mother's Day, then bring mom out and enjoy the festivities out at the high school as well,&226&8364 said &226&8364&339Brothers for Charity&226&8364 President Chuck Wilson. Registration for the ride will begin at 9:30a.m. at Twin Parks in Brookfield. &194 &194 &194 &194 After riding 100 miles, you will end at South City Park where food will be served. &194 &194 &194 The charity is near and dear to Chuck Wilson whose daughter was diagnosed with the disease when she was four years old. &194 &194 &194 &226&8364&339This is in her name, this ride is, but all of the proceeds that we receive from this will be going to the Rett Syndrome Foundation to help them to find a cure or if nothing else a very good treatment for these girls,&226&8364 said Wilson.

The disease has left Wilson's daughter, Ceirney who is now ten years old, severely handicapped. &194 &194 &194 &194 Singer Kevin Black, whose daughter died of the disease when she was 16, will perform later in the night.&194 His concert begins at 7:30p.m. at Brookfield High School.&194 The cost is $10 per person and free to kids 5 and under.&194 Tickets can be purchased at Dick&226&8364&8482s Auto in Brookfield, AA Muffler in Chillicothe, or at the door.
