2:10pm Tuesday 24th February 2009 A BRAVE group of ghost-hunters will make their way to Woodchester Mansion in Nympsfield to spend the night with
ghouls to raise money for Comic Relief. On the nights of Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 a group of 30 will make their way to the mansion – an architectural masterpiece of the Victorian age abandoned by its builders before it could be completed. Virtually untouched by time since the1870s and secluded in 400-acre gardens the mansion will play host to The Big Red Ghost Hunt for a company called Grave Investigations over Comic Relief weekend. Nick Thurston, a member of Grave Investigations, said: “I have every confidence the event will be a success not only for Comic Relief, but to also for those taking part. “Some may even turn from sceptics into true believers.” This event is sold out but for more information about ghost-hunting visit www.graveinvestigations.co.uk. Other Woodchester Mansion charity ghost hunts will take place on Saturday, August 15 – featuring special guest Ian Lawman from Living TV’s Living with the Dead, and Friday, October 30 – with celebrity guest Phil Whyman from Living TV’s Most Haunted.
Tickets are available now. To book or for more information call 01453 861541. All proceeds will go to the Woodchester Mansion Trust Ltd.
